Raven invests in its people
We are thrilled to announce that Raven has achieved Investors in People Gold accreditation and is pushing in some areas for the platinum award.
Investors in People is an independent look at the way an organisation leads, manages and develops their people. It examines areas such as people management strategy, recognition and reward, empowerment and involvement of people, communication, learning and development, and the continuous improvement of the way people and teams are managed and motivated.
Only 16% of accredited organisations achieve Gold and at the crux of it, it means every single person at Raven is involved in supporting each other and doing their best to deliver excellent services for our Customers.
The Investors in People assessor said,
“Raven staff are able to bring an impressive understanding of values in action – especially care for their colleagues, residents and even themselves – it was fabulous to listen to; there was an optimism, energy, common purpose and undeniable pride which is very special.”
As well as an excuse to put on a celebratory breakfast for staff, the Gold accreditation means that an organisation has got the necessary policies in place but more than that, it means that everyone from Chief Executive to apprentice takes ownership for making these policies come to life.
The assessment was also an excellent opportunity for us to hear from staff and learn from what they said. We will be using this feedback to improve what we do and make Raven an even better place to work.
