Latest COVID-19 information

The new variant of Covid-19 is highly contagious. Your health and well-being are very important to us and we are doing all we can to keep everyone safe. Our staff have plenty of PPE supplies while we carry out work in your home.

Here’s how we’ll protect you and carry out a ‘contact-free’ visit.

  • Strictly adhere to all Government led Covid-19 guidance which includes wearing PPE when we visit your home. This will include masks.
  • Maintain social distancing of at least 2 metres where possible.
  • Use sanitiser and wipe surfaces down when we have completed a repair or safety check.

How you can help

  • When our tradesperson arrives please make sure you let us know if anyone in your household is unwell or self-isolating so that our engineers are prepared with the necessary protective equipment.
  • Maintain a safe distance of at least 2 metres from our tradesperson - if possible, please wait in a different room whilst they do their job.
  • Wear a face mask where possible.
  • When we visit, please open a window in the room we will be working in to ventilate the area 15 minutes before we arrive and keep it open for 15 minutes after we leave.
  • Remove items from the area where tradesperson will be working and clean it thoroughly before they start - they’ll clean the area thoroughly too when they finish.
  • Please do be aware that if our staff feel their safety is being compromised in any way, they may stop even if the job isn’t completed.

We want to limit the amount of time we spend in your home so, for the time being, will not start major projects, which could be disrupted if government guidance changes again. As a result, we will be pausing our kitchen and bathroom replacement programme and any other similar projects.

Gas and Electrical Safety checks access

By law, we must continue to carry out important safety checks in your home. We don’t plan to make any changes to our safety checks (gas, electric etc) which will continue as normal. Please continue to allow access for this important work, access for these checks is required by law, subject to reasonable notice.

We’re aware things can change very quickly so we’ll continue to keep things under review and will let you know if our services change.

If you are self-isolating or shielding, it is important you call us on 0300 123 3399 or email Raven@ravenht.org.uk to make us aware so that any appointments can be re-arranged.

All updates and information can also be found on our website at ravenht.org.uk.

Postal delays

The Royal Mail has published a list of 28 areas suffering from limited delivery services as more of its workforce is affected by Covid-19.

The zones – comprising 27 in England and one in Northern Ireland – are no longer receiving regular post because of the high numbers of Royal Mail staff who are either off sick or self-isolating due to the pandemic.

Although this only affects a very limited number of area’s Raven are active in, this may cause some delays in mail from us to you, so please don’t be alarmed if it is taking longer to hear from us as usual.

More information can be found on the Royal Mail website; royalmail.com
