Your neighbourhood wardens
Your neighbourhood wardens are the eyes and ears of Raven in the community. They’re regularly in and around your community, keeping you safe and working hard with local groups for special events, litter picking and much more. If you see them on their travels do stop and say hello!

What’s the key role of neighbourhood wardens at Raven?
The most important thing to us is to make a positive contribution to your neighbourhood. This means keeping you safe, keeping your neighbourhood tidy, cracking down on antisocial behaviour and making sure you have a nice community to live in.
We also play a big role in community events, working with local groups and associations to bring people together. As a team we really do go above and beyond, getting involved in voluntary events like litter picking and working weekends to make estate improvements. We’re passionate about making your neighbourhoods a fantastic place to live.
What day-to-day management of Raven neighbourhoods do you do?
Health and safety is a key priority. We do weekly health and safety checks in our blocks of flats and around our houses to check for fire risks, check for tenancy breaches, deal with fly tipping and making sure grounds maintenance is up to standard.
Can I stop my neighbourhood warden and tell them about community issues?
Yes of course! We want to hear from you about any issues happening in your community. Our wardens are all really approachable and friendly. We have a can do attitude and put our customers first. So if you have any concerns, such as health and safety, nuisance vehicles or anti social behaviour then please do talk to us. We’re here to help.
How long have you worked at Raven?
4.5 years now - time flies!
What did you do before working here?
Before I joined Raven I worked for 15 years as a police officer. My favourite part of this job was working with members of the community so I’m pleased it’s a key area of my job still now.
What do you like most about your job?
I really do love working for Raven. I enjoy meeting and engaging with customers. I’m a real problem solver so I like to help sort issues for customers by working with other members of the Raven team to get things sorted. Every day is different – so it keeps it really interesting!
What is the biggest challenge of being a neighbourhood warden?
As someone who loves solving problems, it’s hard when I can’t always sort the issue. Understandably, customers’ expectations are high, they want us to get the job done, and whilst we do what we can it’s not always something we can sort straight away – especially when third parties are involved, for example antisocial behaviour cases.
What do you enjoy outside of work?
Cycling, watching and playing football and walking the dog. I also enjoy eating out.
Tea or coffee?
Both! Also partial to a hot chocolate.
Favourite TV series?
Game of Thrones!
