Charity
moonlit walk

On Saturday 9th June, 11 members of staff from Raven walked 7, 13, or 20-miles through the darkness of night to raise money for St Catherine’s Hospice in Crawley.

St Catherine’s Hospice are a local charity partner with a big ambition - to help everyone face death informed, supported and pain free. They do an excellent job of caring for patients and provide expert hospice care for people in the East Surrey and West Sussex area.

With the support of family and friends, Raven staff completed the sponsored walk in under five hours and raised a staggering £1,070 - a truly amazing achievement for a great cause! This brings us tantalisingly close to our £2,000 target for the year.

A spokesperson for St Catherine’s Hospice said:

“Well done Team Raven. What an incredible achievement, and the money you’ve raised will make a huge difference, so thank you from us all at St Catherine’s.”

The Burgess Hill Summer Fayre

On Sunday 9th June, we attended our first community event in Burgess Hill at the Summer Fayre held in St. John’s Park, organised by Burgess Hill Town Council.

Staff and volunteers ran the ever-popular Raven Smoothie Bike stand and over the course of the event we made nearly 200 free fruit smoothies. The summer fayre was a great opportunity for us to get to know local residents and for residents to learn more about Raven and the services available in the area. Not only this, staff also had the chance to meet other organisations working in the area including local schools, town council staff and various resident groups. The event was hugely popular, and the sun shined all day!
